Financial
donations to the Friends of the South Pasadena Public
Library (Friends) enable the Library to purchase
important materials and resources that they otherwise
would not be able to obtain. Your donations supplement
the annual budget provided through the City of South
Pasadena and a library tax paid by property owners.
We
use our membership fees and donations to purchase
e-books and to supplement the traditional catalog.
We also make possible dozens of programs offered
to the community each year, including author nights,
film screenings, cultural events, and musical &
theatrical performances. We are a major underwriter
for the annual Summer Reading Program, which serves
approximately 2000 children of the community for
free.
